God Created Marijuana

By Paul Thomas Breeden

What better time to debate amongst Christians about the plant marijuana. With a Christian named Donald Trump in the highest seat in the land, I take it an honor to bring my testimony to enlighten the world and to remind us of our calling as Christians. Christ left us with his Testament and as he departed said he will send the Holy Ghost. The Spirit of truth, to remind us of the truth, for the truth is inside all of us. Everyone knows the truth. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit I bring this message of remembrance.

It is our calling as Christians, called to do the bidding of Jesus Christ, to ease the burdens and set free the oppressed. Jesus came to free the prisoners, as sound doctrine teaches. He came to minister to the poor, to ease the burdens of the oppressor, and to release the bonds of injustice. He taught that as he laid down his life for us, so shall we for our brothers and sisters on earth. He taught to consider those in prisons as ourselves. What better time to act then now? To free those being held for a plant God created. Marijuana.

As Christians we must embrace this message of freedom. Today the laws are set so that murderers and violent criminals are often given less sentences then someone who may have in their possession a joint or a few grams of marijuana. It is hard to believe that we can consider ourselves a modern society when we jail humans for a plant. The Merriam Webster and Oxford dictionary, which most classroom students use, defines marijuana as an “herb” and a “plant”. Do you really think eating, smoking, or enjoying an herb, a plant, is equal to spending your whole life in jail? Do you really think the crime fits the punishment? Put yourself in the same situation. Do you think you should spend ten years or life in jail for drinking a shot of vodka, or a glass of wine? Your only argument is that alcohol is “legal”. Well who made it legal? We did. By voting and letting democracy work. Alcohol, tobacco, and firearms kill millions of people annually and are all legal. As Christians we are called not to be hypocrites. Locking up people and dismantling millions of families, destroying property and ceasing houses while the government sells your belongings, all for a plant God created is unconstitutional, and is far from Christ’s only command to love your brother as yourself Mr. President.

America was founded by patriots who sought religious freedom from an oppressing government. These leaders all grew and traded in marijuana and hemp goods. Their paper was made from it, their sails and rope, food, clothing and everyday items all made of hemp and marijuana fiber. It is very widely known that George Washington the first President of The United States grew and manufactured hemp (marijuana). In this day he would be facing mandated ten years to life in jail for conspiracy and manufacturing of “drugs”. Our first President! How would the founding fathers of this nation feel if they saw the corruption and plain abuses of power? These founders were in accord in creating a constitution that created the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Even the most revered document, the Declaration of Independence, was drafted on hemp (marijuana)! The founders of Harvard University, the highest level of education in America and arguably the world, grew and traded in marijuana (hemp) goods and products. They had to; they didn’t have synthetic rope or polyester super stretch logging pants. They had hemp (marijuana) rope and pants.

For those who think marijuana is somehow unclean or defiles the body let me remind you the Apostle Paul said in the letter to the Romans that all food is clean, for I will not be judged for what I enjoy as meat. The Spirit says nothing that goes in your mouth defiles you or makes you unholy. Mathew 15:18-19 says: But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication, thefts, false witness, and blasphemies.
So it is the heart that makes you unholy, not marijuana.

God also says that all seeds are given for meat and shall be for food. Gen: 1:29: And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. God goes on to say in Gen: 1:12: And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was “good”. Isaiah 5:20: furthers this message with a warning to the people, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” America continues to fulfill Isaiah’s prophecy by claiming marijuana, an herb, is evil.

The United States government cannot use “health” as an issue to not legalize marijuana when they fail to make the plant available for study. I applaud the efforts of Massachusetts Senators Kennedy and Kerry for bringing the attention of medicinal marijuana to the congress seeking the right for Massachusetts to grow and study marijuana. We need more leaders, congressmen and women to bring the much-needed attention to this cause. The problem is people who live in fear, who have no knowledge of the plant and instead of learn and become educated, they continue to oppress people making laws and regulations which does more damage to our families, economy and spirit than good. These leaders are the blind leading the blind.

There are martyrs in every movement and in the marijuana movement there have been many jailed and confined for exercising their God given rights. I am calling and steadfastly praying that our leaders and decision makers of this country will have the spirit of truth, to hear the truth, to act on the truth, and remove the stumbling blocks from years of misguided laws regarding the marijuana plant God created. I hope to see the day when the scripture Ac: 16:26 is one day fulfilled: And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

If you are truly a Christian Mr. President, you will embrace this message of truth, and have the fear of God to do what is spiritually right. For one day you will have to face God’s judgment, and you will not have an excuse for why you did not act. I would like to end this letter with a message from Christ through the Apostle John:

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (John: 4:23)

…And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free… (John: 8:32)

God Bless in the name of Jesus Christ
